One of the core values of SahtiKrouvi is authenticity. We want to create experiences for both our guests and our staff in a beautiful rural environment. Did you know that SahtiKrouvi is built in the farm buildings of the Kivioja farm? The buildings and interior make use of handcrafted elements made on site and objects that have stood the test of time – something you can notice during your visit. When building the camping area, we aimed to consider the comfort and pleasantness of the surroundings, making it possible for visitors to stay longer and truly enjoy the area.

For us, authenticity also means traditions and spontaneous encounters. Through our services, we help maintain the traditions of sahti brewing and Finnish pavilion dancing (lavatanssit). We want to welcome everyone to experience what it feels like to pause for a moment with traditions, away from the bustle of the city. In the past, dances were held at local village dance venues; today, we strive to offer that same genuine joy through the SahtiKrouvi pavilion dances on the Krouvi stage.

Developing Together Towards More Sustainable Tourism

We have long collaborated with the Tainionvirta business network, most recently on projects focused on more sustainable tourism. Together we have done our part to promote more sustainable tourism in the Tainionvirta region, and now at SahtiKrouvi we can proudly say that we have completed the sustainable tourism certification (Good Travel Seal, GTS) and will soon also earn the Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) label.
